When departing from Nairobi Airport, after exploring Kenya & Uganda for 3 weeks back in 1998, I felt sadness, like I wanted to cry. They say that Africa leaves it's mark on you after you have visited, it is so true! The people, the culture and the wildlife, it is all amazing.

Crossing paths recently with the General Manager of the One Heart Foundation was the piece of a puzzle I had been searching for with another way to contribute to Humanity. It felt right to connect with this foundation and change the life of a vulnerable young child by restoring faith in their world...  faith in kindness, compassion and love.

For the last 15 years One Heart has been working in East Africa to improve the lives of vulnerable children, empowering them and the community around them, to reach their full potential.

Their work addresses the root causes of systemic poverty. They provide children with a safe place to call home, access to health and wellbeing services, quality education and pathways for further education and training. It's a sustainable and entrepreneurial approach that considers the needs of the whole community.
